Review Avast 4.8 Anti Virus

Setelah sekian lama mencoba dan mengkomparasi banyak Anti Virus terkenal mancanegara dari beberapa aspek yang meliputi: Proteksi, Database pengenal Virus, Fitur-fitur pendukung, Kemudahan dalam setting Fitur, Kebutuhan akan sistem, Kecepatan dalam scan file, dan Tampilan. Penilaian dari semua aspek saya mempunyai kesimpulan bahwa Avast 4.8 yang baling baik diantara yang lain (maaf tidak nyebut merek, tp pd tau kan!? Heee...).
Awal mula saya mencoba Avast karena melihat Anti Virus Chart, yang menempatkan Avast pada puncak chart (wew!). Pas dicoba, eh ini dia Anti Virus yang selam ini dicari-cari! Saya jabarkan satu-satu ya...

1. Proteksi
Metode proteksi yang dilakukan oleh Avast sangat efisien. Avast hanya scan file yang tertujuk/tersorot oleh pointer mouse atau oleh navigasi keyboard. Keuntungannya akses ke file/folder lebih cepat, karen Avast tidak menscan semua isi dari direktori. Proteksi Avast melingkupi banyak aspek ex: Instant Messaging, Anti Root Kit, Internet Mail,Web Shiel, dll. Heuristic enginenya pun jarang menemukan False Alarm. Sangat friendly dengan Crack/Keygen :), karena kebanyakan Anti Virus membaca Crack/Keygen sebagai trojan atau worm padahal itu murni 100% bukan Virus. Tapi kalau Download Crack/Keygen dan terbaca Virus, Worm, dll ya langsung hapus saja (4 newbie user). Bagi yang agak mahir sedikit si bisa coba-coba dulu, heee...
2. Database Pengenal Virus
Avast mempunyai database pengenal virus yang cukup lengkap dan update-to-date. Saya pernah coba dengan Flash Disk teman yang ada virusnya ketika discan dengan Anti Virus lain yang berinisial "A" juga ternyata Flash Disk tersebut dinyatakan bersih! Tapi pas saya cari manual saya ragu akan satu file yang bericon blank, mau dihapus tapi Flash Disknya bukan punya saya. Ya udah scan pake Avast ternyata terdeteksi sebagai trojan, wele-weleh! Pengenalan akan virus lokalnya pun lumayan bagus ketimbang Anti Virus lain yang kebanyakan bengong ketika kemasukan virus lokal.
3. Fitur-fitur Pendukung
Avast mempunyai banyak fitur yang berguna untuk mempermudah settingan Anti Virus sesuai dengan kebutuhan user. Fitur "On-access Protection Control" yang dapat dikunci dengan password!? Gunanya untuk mencegah orang lain mendisable Anti Virus dan mencegah Virus mendisable Avast. Karena saya pernah kejadian dengan Anti Virus berinisial "S" posisinya disable terus pas ditelusuri ternyata didisable sama Virus jahat, huh! Fitur update yang dapat didisable permanen. Ini digunakan untuk user yang komputernya Off Line/tidak terhubung dengan internet. Jadi Anti Virusnya tidak menampilkan pesam untuk minta update terus.
4. Kemudahan Dalam Penyetingan
Avast termasuk Anti Virus yang mudah untuk diseting untuk dimatikan atau dihidupkan fungsinya. Karena bahasa dan menu dalam penyetingan yang digunakan tidak "ngejelimet" seperti kebanyakan Anti Virus. Setingan Anti Virus tergantung dari siapa usernya!? Ya iya lah, misal: Saya kan masih newbie yang punya komputer OffLine jd... settingannya Sensitivity Standard Shieldnya diposisikan pada tingkat "High", dan untuk fitur yang berbau internet seperti Script Blocking, Web Shild, dll dimatikan saja karena percuma ngga berguna. Atau ketika main game OffLine "Pause" saja Avastnya biar performance dalam bermain game tidak terganggu (apalagi buat pc yg speknya rendah).
5. Kebutuhan Sistem
Avast termasuk Anti Virus yang tidak banyak memakan Resource System. Waktu start up komputer pun relatif cepat dibanding Anti Virus. Apalagi dibanding Anti Virus yang otomatis ngidupin Rootkit Scannya, klo gini kapan mainin komputernya? Anti Virus apa hayo yg saya maksud!? Heee...
6. Scan File/Folder
Kecepatan scan file file/folder Avast relatif (bisa cepat bisa lambat), tergantung settingan Scanner Sensitivitynya. Makin sensitif scannya maka makin lama waktu scan. Tapi bila dibandingkan dengan Anti Virus yang lain Avast termasuk lambat dalam scan file/folder. Dengan catatan sensitivity pada level maksimum "Trough Scan" dan "Scan Archieve Files" .
7. Tampilan
Tampilan Anti Virus kebanyakan bikin bosen, kotak doang (kotak bukan sembarang kotak siii...)! Beda sama Avast skinnya dapat diganti-ganti lho, keren. Jadi ngga bikin bosen. Cara ganti skin: Tinggal download skin di avast.com trus double klik skinnya deh, skinnya akan terinstall.

Sesuai dengan judul diatas kali ini saya akan membahas tentang Software-software yang berfungsi untuk merawat Sistem Operasi Windows.
1. Advanced System Care (Gambar 1)
Aplikasi yang dulunya bernama Advanced Windows Care ini adalah aplikasi Freeware atau aplikasi gratis yang sangat powerfull untuk merawat System Operasi anda. Software keluaran IOBIT ini mempunyai fungsi sebagai Spyware Removal, Registry Fix, Privacy Sweep, dll. Software yang satu ini mempunyai fitur yang sangat lengkap seperti: Startup Manager, Registry Defrag, Auto Shutdown, dll.
2. TuneUp Utillities (Gambar 2)
Apliakasi berbayar ini merupakan aplikasi perawatan komputer yang sangat powerfull untuk merawat sistem anda ketimbang aplikasi lainnya. Karena ditunjang dengan fitur2 yang sangat lengkap TuneUp Styler yang berfungsi untuk merubah tampilan Windows atau TuneUp System Control yang berguna untuk melakukan kostumisasi pada fitur-fitur Windows. Misal mendisable animation pada Windows, mematikan fungsi autorun, menambahkan menu "Copy To Folder.." pada klik kanan explorer, dll.
3. Smart Defrag (Gambar 3)
Salah satu software gratisan keluaran IOBIT ini mempunyai fungsi untuk merawat HardDisk (Defrag). Walau pun bawaan operating sistem pun dapat melakukan Defragment. Tapi dengan Smart Defrag waktu defrag akan lebih cepat dan dengan hasil lebih baik ketimbang fitur bawaan Windows. Smart Defrag Mempunyai fitur untuk men-skip file dari 100mb-10gb (tergantung settingan). Salah satu yang menarik dari software ini adalah fitur Auto Shutdown setelah proses defragmentasi selesai dengan mencentang pilihan " Turn off computer after defragment.

Semua software di atas pada dasarnya berfungsi untuk menambah performance komputer dan menstabilkan sistem komputer.

Tips: Jika ingin menggunakan TuneUp Utillities 2010 (khusus v. 2010) bersama dengan Advanced System Care, sebaiknya ketika melakukan scanning matikan dulu proses salah satu aplikasi ini. Misal jika ingin scanning dengan Advanced System Care maka matikan proses TuneUp Utillities 2010 yang masih berjalan. Terkadang komputer jadi tidak merespon alias hang, dikarenakan ada proses yang saling bersinggungan.

Menampilkan Emoticons Chat Pada Facebook

Facebook Chat Emoticon 

Bagi para pengguna facebook chatting merupakan salah satu hal yang terpenting. Supaya percakapan semakin berwarna maka keberadaan emoticon pun sangat penting sebagai pengganti ekspresi. Mungkin banyak yang belum tahu emoticon2 yang dapat dipakai dalam facebook. Misalkan sudah tahu pun nongolinnya ribet pake diketik2 segala =). Untuk mempermudahnya taro aja emoticonnya di atas jendela chat, tinggal klik nongol deh. Nih caranya:

Browser: Mozilla Firefox
  1. Download Add-ons Greasemonkey (monyet licin)
  2. Install Add-ons tersebut
  3. Restart Firefox anda
  4. Install script untuk menampilkan emoticonnya yang ada di userscripts.org
  5. Pada halaman web Userscript.org klik tombol "Install"
  6. Setelah selesai restart firefox anda, dan login ke facebook

Asik deh chatnya bakal lebih ekspresif.
